Montreal Insites

Montréal InSites is a Web site produced by Héritage Montréal that presents information on Montréal heritage. Phase 2 of this project was meant to add 10 new neighborhoods in the virtual exhibit, a few virtual visits, some interactive games for kids and add a new section on Montreal bridges. The main interface is centered on the concept of the neighborhood map. The Flash interface calls up a series of XML documents containing the content on the different heritage locations. Technically, this is a dynamically generated Flash site with PHP, mySSQL and PHP framework. An accessible version is also available for those who don't have access to the Flash plugin, this being either search engines or site visitors.
